Smooth on the side your customer sees. The underside, hidden inside the box, keeps the fine mesh texture of the mould. It suits most inserts and is the more economical choice.

What Wet-Pressed Fibre Is
Plant pulp pressed between heated tools until it holds a rigid, exact shape.

Single-Side and Double-Side Smooth
Every insert is made in one of two finishes. The choice depends on whether anyone will see the underside.
Double-Side Smooth On Request
Smooth on both sides, for parts that are lifted out, turned over or seen from both sides, such as clamshells and lids. It costs more, because the mould is more complex.

Where fibre is the wrong answer. It’s a structural and presentation material, not a barrier. It shouldn’t touch liquids or wet product directly, and it doesn’t replace your primary container. We’ll tell you before tooling, not after.
